Education
Education sector development and reforms have improved the quality of skills needed to spur a country’s social and economic growth.
Education
We develop and support reforms in education sector systems in majorly developing economies, including conflict-affected regions.
Our areas of education sector consulting include;
Policy, Planning and Monitoring & Evaluation:
We design and develop short, medium, to long-term policies, strategies and targets focused on proper design, implementation and management of education systems. We develop Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks/ systems to monitor, track and evaluate the impact of the set policies and strategies on the community.
Education Development and Implementation:
We provide technical expertise and know-how in education curricular development for primary and tertiary education. We design and foster the implementation and management of education curricula and endeavour to improve the quality of education at all times in line with international best practices and needs.
Governance and Accountability:
Building a sound education system requires governments and private education sector prayers to embrace good governance and accountability in their management systems. We provide technical assistance in creating the capacities needed to ensure good governance and accountability across all education systems implementation and management levels. We also set up examination bodies, oversight institutions and authorities.
Skills and Capacity Development:
Developing countries are characterised by high levels of education, illiteracy and unemployment leading to slow economic growth and productivity. Many young men and women need more basic life skills, work preparedness or core business skills necessary for gainful employment.
While young people may need to gain the skills to enter employment, demand-side factors often contribute to low youth employment rates. Poor links between employers and training providers and a lack of clarity in government administration aggravate the shortage of skilled labour.
We develop tailor-made skills development Programmes for youth to arm them with essential life skills to support their personal and family needs and, therefore, social-economic growth and development.
Access:
Education is a right; therefore, access to quality education allows children to realise and fulfil their potential. However, many children in developing countries need help accessing education facilities and systems in their quest to acquire education. This challenge leaves many children needing to be educated, making the education illiteracy levels high in some areas.
The situation further deteriorates the rate of economic development. We devise initiatives that bring education closer to communities, specifically those out of school in remote regions or under-represented minorities.
Water, Sanitation & Hygiene:
We conduct needs assessments to establish water and sanitation needs and design and develop a water & sanitation master plan to aid implementation. We offer technical assistance services to help governments and private institutions manage the integration of shared water resources and the management of Transboundary basins.
